Lagavulin Distillery - 'The Distiller's Edition' Islay Scotch Single Malt (750ML)

First matured in American Oak & European Oak casks and finished in Pedro Ximenez-seasoned re-charred American Oak casks with heavily re-charred new AO ends, this is a sweet and mellow Lagavulin.

This 86 proof whisky is full bodied and sweet-spicy to start, then delivers a fruity, raisin-sweet smokiness that intensifies as the peat enters. Notes of espresso coffee grounds follow with a long, smoky-spicy finish, even by Islay standards.
